A Call to Praise God

It is always good to give thanks to the LORD and sing of His praise, mercies, love, grace and compassion on us all. David said “Praise the LORD, all you nations; extol him, all you peoples. For great is his love toward us, and the faithfulness of the LORD endures forever. Praise the LORD” (Psalm 117: 1-2). David also said: “For the LORD is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues to all generations” (Psalm 100:5).

Here are ten good reasons why we should always give thanks to the LORD:

    1. He is God, it is He Who made us, and we are His; His people, the sheep of His pasture (Psalm 100:3)

    2. He alone does great wonders, creating the heavens and the earth, the great lights, the sun, the moon and the stars (Psalm 136:4-9, Psalm 8:3)

    3. For sending His Son (Our Lord Jesus Christ) to die for us on the cross in order to save us from our sins (Matthew 1:21, John 3:16, 1 John4:10)

    4. He is good and His mercies and faithfulness endure for ever (Psalm 100:5, Psalm 106:1, Psalm 107:1, Psalm 136:1)

    5. His redemption from the hands of the enemy (Psalm 107:2, Psalm 111:9)

    6. His unfailing and enduring love, mercies, compassion, goodness and wonderful deeds on mankind (Psalm 107:1,8,15,28, Psalm 136: 1-3)

    7. His salvation, healing and deliverance from life’s distress and troubles (Psalm 107:6,13,19-20,28, Psalm 118:5, Psalm 120:1)

    8. He is trustworthy in all He promises and faithful in all He does (Psalm 145:13)

    9. His holiness (Psalm 99:5,9)

    10. He gives food to every creature (Psalm 136:25)

We invite you today to praise the LORD with your whole heart, rejoice and be glad in Him and sing of His wonderful deeds in your life (Psalm 9:1-2). We invite you to tell your story and let your mouth speak in praise of the LORD (Psalm 107:2, Psalm 145:21). Please email your story to praisereport@anpn.org. Thank you and God bless.-ANPN Praise Report Team

  • In the past months we have been asking the Lord for His immeasurable protection over areas usually ravaged by hurricanes in the Atlantic. The 2006 Atlantic Hurricane Season was not as strong as the 2005 Season and it was certainly shorter. According to science, this was due to a rapidly-forming El Niño event combined with the presence of the Saharan Air Layer over the tropical Atlantic. Let’s just remind ourselves of how Mighty our God is, the Creator of Heaven and Earth. We can always find explanations to events, we can always answer the “how’s” or the “why’s” but when we want to answer the “who”, we need to look up and realize that God is the one who orders everything and that He is a God who answers prayers. We praise Him because this one was an unusual season; we praise Him because He loves us and cares for us, enough to modify weather patterns. He is able to do anything, praises be unto the Almighty God!

  • US Gulf Coast Area spared from destructive hurricanes in 2006. I sent in a prayer request through ANPN, asking God to spare Hurricane-prone cities in the United States from being struck in 2006. The 2005 hurricane season was very bad for New Orleans and Houston areas. But thank God that the hurricanes’ strengths were considerably weakened last year, resulting in a relatively peaceful season. Indeed “He caused the storm to be still, so that the waves of the sea were hushed” (Psalm 107: 29). God bless ANPN and God bless America. Jesus is Lord!

  • The Lord healed my back when I was the most doubtful, allowing me to witness the miracle of his blessings.

  • First, while I write this e-mail I pray to God for guidance to give the appropriate
praise report for 2006. And I would like to write this as a prayer of praises and
thanks giving to Our Father in Heaven. The year 2006 was a year that I can
certainly said "It all happened because of God's almighty power alone".
The year had a great start and an excellent ending always with the company of
God. I do my best to always praise Him and thank Him every moment.
I thank God for ALL my family. My friends (that certainly are the Family God
has made for me while walking on this Earth). And I thank you Father for
your protection, patience, understanding, grace that goes beyond my understanding,
but fills my heart with joy and love to you Lord.

The year 2006 had a simple accomplishment of the end of a period at Stanford University , the end of my PhD. studies. This was for sure the work of God because I
would have never finished it without God's help and provisions. During this year,
I gain my dad and I also lost him, he was killed on May, 12. The support that I received
from God through all my friends is invaluable and I don't think that I can express
my gratitude in short words other than saying Thank you Father God. After my
dad's dead I went to a bad depression and many things went through my head and life,
but today I have my health, my friends and no major depressions. Not all is gone,
I still battle with inner ghosts and tough moments but I have nothing to fear and
nothing to complain because Our Father in Heaven is always taking good care.

    Thank you Father God.
    Daniel – Hamden, Connecticut.

  • I'm so glad I've gotten closer to God in these last two years. The results have been amazing! And here are some of my blessings: My health was very debilitated at the end of 2004; however, my recuperation was superb! Thank your Lord, I know you did it! I also want to thank God for blessing my daughter with good health, a job and much peace of mind. I know the Lord have heard our prayers and granted wonderful miracles in our lives. Thank you Father!
